The St. Pius X Women’s organization was founded with the purpose of providing a welcoming and supportive environment where women can gather socially, spiritually and as an assisting resource to the parish and neighboring communities. All women of the parish are invited to participate and plan various activities throughout the year.
Our goal is to provide a variety events:
Spiritual: Each spring we sponsor a brunch with a speaker that focuses on women’s spirituality. We have donated the proceeds of this event to the parish emergency fund.
Service to the parish: We run the Craft Booth at the Parish Festival each year in June. We coordinated the completion of the Jubilee Quilt that is hanging in the O’Brien Parish Center. Each Lent, we serve and work at a Pasta Friday. We participate in any event at which we are asked to help.
Fun: Since 2004 we have hosted a Wine Tasting each fall. It is a fun, social event. Proceeds help to fund our spring brunch.
