The sacristan’s ministry is more often behind-the-scenes, but most critical.  Although this ministry is multi-faceted, the prime responsibilities of sacristan are to:

• Prepare the  items to be used at mass
  • Pour the wine ahead of time
  • Set out the bread and sacred vessels
  • Set out the Roman Missal and Sacramentary
